Hygger Current UV Aquarium Filter

Why You’ll Love It

A true 4-in-1 unit — mechanical filtration, UV sterilization, oxygenation, and water circulation together in one submersible housing. The pump and UV light run on independent switches, so filtration can stay on around the clock while the UV bulb only runs on a schedule, keeping green water and free-floating pathogens in check without overexposing your beneficial bacteria.

Key Features

4-in-1 Filtration

Combines a mechanical sponge, 254nm UV sterilization, and dual-mode oxygenation/circulation in a single compact unit — no need to run separate devices for filtering and disinfecting the water column.

Independent Pump & UV Control

The water pump and UV light are switched separately, so filtration can run continuously while the UV bulb cycles on a 4/8/12/24-hour timer — useful for knocking out a green-water bloom without leaving the UV on indefinitely.

Dual Outlet Modes

Choose an aerating outlet that drives an air-venturi bubble stream to boost oxygen, or switch to the rainfall spray bar for gentle surface agitation and circulation.

Sealed UV Chamber with Viewing Window

The UV bulb sits in a fully enclosed plastic housing so no UV light escapes into the tank, with a small viewing window built in to confirm at a glance that the lamp is lit.

18W / 300 GPH — Fits 20 to 75 Gallon Tanks

This 18W variant moves up to 300 gallons per hour, right-sized for mid-size freshwater and saltwater community tanks.

Usage Tips

Connect the rainfall outlet for a visible waterfall effect and extra surface agitation, or cap it off and run the aeration outlet alone for quieter operation.
For an active green-water bloom, run the UV light continuously for 3–5 days; for routine maintenance, 4 hours a day is enough to keep water clear without stressing beneficial bacteria.
Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
